This is a privately owned reference, not a government office, investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services.
Nature of the Service
Avery County Released Inmates has no affiliation with a sheriff, jail, prison, court, corrections department, or other public body. It stores no official custody file and cannot release a person, confirm a live status, file a document, or alter a government record. It points users toward Avery County and North Carolina record resources and may connect them with outside research tools.
Acceptable Use Rules
- Follow all applicable laws.
- Do not stalk, harass, threaten, deceive, or harm another person.
- Do not use site information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another eligibility decision.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access or bypass security.
- Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
- Do not interfere with access by other visitors.
No Consumer Reports
This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no consumer report, credit report, or screening product. Users agree not to apply information from the site or its advertising partners to employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licensing or benefit eligibility, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.
Outside Resources
Links may lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release records, courts, federal locators, legal resources, advertisers, or search providers. A link is not an endorsement. Avery County Released Inmates does not control an outside site’s content, privacy practices, prices, accuracy, availability, or security. Review that provider’s terms before using it.
No Warranties
The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Partner results may be partial. Custody, release, court, and supervision records can change quickly, and nothing here is an official government statement.
Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside service.
User Indemnity
A user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from that user’s conduct, misuse of information, or violation of these terms.
Intellectual Property
Site text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Avery County Released Inmates or its content partners unless stated otherwise. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, sold, or modified without written permission, apart from rights supplied by law.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when posted. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Access May End
Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time and without notice, including when misuse, security risk, or a violation of these terms is suspected.
North Carolina Law
North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.
Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.
